Flower Printing Workshop

At Rhinebeck 2019 aka New York Sheep and Wool, I had the possibility to take a Flower printing Workshop with Nica of the Fiberhouse Collective.

We arranged flowers and parts of dyeplants loosely on the pre-treated fabric. Then rolled the fabric tightly into “dumplings” to be steamed. After 1-2h of steaming, we were able to unroll them and discover our printed fabrics.

Due to the plants used, not all the colours are going to stay around for the longterm, so the pattern will change with time, as some colors endure and others disappear.
