The days, when my Making Magazine Subscription lands in my mailbox, are some of my favourites. As I know that there will be amazing photography, interesting writing and lots of ideas for craft projects.
While about half of the projects tend to be knitting and crochet, there are always other crafts to explore as well. And the projects are always well thought out and with an eye on sustainability and slow-crafting.
In contrast with other publications, where I bookmark all the things and then rarely make them, when it comes to Making Magazine, I’ve made or am making several projects:
- I have the “Emerald Dress” by Rae Hoekstra from the Desert Issue in my Wardrobe
- Last year I’ve knit the “Wild Feather Mitts” by Cecily Glowik MacDonald from the Fauna Issue
- I’m still working on my “Farm-to-Skein Colorwork Throw” by Lori Versaci from the Color Issue
- I’ve also tried quite a few of the recipes over the years
